Le Château de Chambord

Et voici le plus grand château de la Loire, construit à partir de 1519 sous la supervision de François Ier dont la salamandre orne quasiment tout le château et seulement totalement achevé … que sous Louis XIV !! Il est évidemment connu pour son escalier à double révolution. Jusqu’au 19 Novembre, on peut aussi y voir l’exposition “Georges Pompidou et l’art : une aventure du regard”.


And here is the largest castle of the Loire Valley  built from 1519 under the supervision of François Ier, whose salamander adorns almost the whole castle, and only totally completed … under Louis XIV!! Chambord is obviously known for its double revolution staircase. Until 19 November, you can also see the exhibition “Georges Pompidou and art: an adventure of the gaze”.
